Intro: Thais Nye Derich is the author of Second Chance, a memoir describing a three year span of the author’s life where she fought to see choice where no choice was obvious, and ultimately, she made unpopular choices that were the absolute best choice for her.
Thais coaches writing, runs the writing program at The Hivery, and speaks to groups big and small about her story, the intersection between childbirth and social justice, and seeing choice where there appears to be none. She lives in beautiful Marin County, CA with her husband and two kids, where she is writing her second book.
Derich’s work has been covered in national and internationally media. She’s empowered thousands of people to see and make decisions they don’t even know are there.
