Cesareans are the most performed surgery on human beings. The birth of my child by cesarean section is today's normal. But if standard practice is failing mothers, hurting mothers and babies, leaving mother's damaged, traumatized enough to cause them to loose their job and look for therapy–then the way we've set-up maternity care is failing families.
